Caleb Roddy is from Gainesville Florida, and grew up a preachers kid in Bristol Tennessee. After the passing of his mother in 1996 his family moved back to Gainesville and then finally here to Camden Georgia. Caleb surrendered into the ministry at age 18 at a PASSION worship conference. He has been immersed in music since he was 16, leading worship at local youth groups and youth gatherings until being brought on fulltime at Ignite. He also spent a short time studying music at North Greenville University in Tigerville South Carolina. Caleb is also a recording artist fronting and playing guitar/keys for the band Man Apart. Caleb is happily married to Kelly Roddy. Calebs heart is that each week God would use this music ministry to prepare the hearts of Gods people to receive the message that God has for each one of them. He believes the main goal of the worship ministry is to prepare the way for Gods Word.
Pastor Mike is from Thibodaux, LA. The US Navy led him to Jacksonville, FL during his 6 year tour. It was there that he met & married Carolyn Hickson. They moved to Gainesville, FL (Go Gators) with Mike intending to pursue a career in law enforcement. God, however, had other plans. Mike was led into the ministry.He utilized his musical skills & his rapport with teens as a tool for working with student ministries. Mike has served in churches throughout the Southeastern US from central FL to North East TN. Mike served in several successful ministries from 1984 to 2008. He was involved in various capacities including children's ministries, senior adult ministries & much more.After 16 years of marriage the Lord called Carolyn home. Mike then married Genia, who is from Bristol, TN. Mike & Genia have two grown children, Caleb & Chelsie.
Pastor Mark is from Pascagoula, MS. He joined the Navy at 17 which eventually led him to Kingsland, GA. Mark married his high school sweetheart, Marcia Reynolds in 1994. Mark and Marcia have two children, Savannah Leigh born in 2001 and Camden Mark born in 2003. Mark served aboard the USS Kentucky until 1997 and then served as a Navy Instructor at Trident Training Facility Kings Bay until 2001. In 2001, Mark was honorably discharged from the Navy after ten years of service and began his teaching career.Pastor Mark teaches 7th grade science and is the Head Football Coach at Camden Middle School. This is his 11th year teaching and his 9th year coaching at Camden Middle. In 2009, Mark was selected as the Camden Middle School teacher of the year. He went on to be selected as the Camden County Teacher of the year and also was a top ten finalist for the Georgia Teacher of the Year. Mark has a Masters degree in Middle School Education, a Specialists degree in Leadership and received his Doctorate in Educational Leadership. He answers to Mr. Lang, Dr. Lang, Coach Lang and Pastor.Pastor Mark also serves as the FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) Sponsor at Camden Middle School. It was serving in FCA that drew Pastor Mark to ministry. He was ordained at Ignite Church in March of 2011 and has been serving as co-pastor since that time. His passion is teaching the Word of God using the same teaching style that he uses in the classroom in order that people may get the Word of God written on the tablet of their hearts.

What We Believe....

About God:God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are coequal and are one God. (Genesis 1:1,26,27, 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14) About Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is coequal with the Father and Holy Spirit. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven and will return again someday to earth to reign as King. (Matthew 1:22,23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5, 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14-15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13 ) About the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is coequal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer spiritual gifts when they are saved. As Christians we seek to live under His control daily. (Acts 1:8; 2, 4, 8, 10, 19; 2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16-17; Galatians 5:25; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13, 5:18) About the Bible: The Bible is God's Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs about living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without error. (2 Timothy 3:16, 1:13; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 119:105, 160, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5) About Human Beings: People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God's creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called "sin". Sin separates us from God and causes many problems in our life. (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2) About Salvation: Salvation is God's free gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith, we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6, 1:2; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1, 10:9-10) About Eternity: People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life in Heaven. Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence. (John 3:16, 14:17; Romans 6:23, 8:17-18; Revelation 20:15; 1 Corinthians 2:7-9) About Baptism: Baptism symbolizes the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus that has made possible our salvation. Baptism also symbolizes that a person through faith in Christ has passed from death to life and that this person has identified with Christ’s death and resurrection. Only the total immersion of a person in water adequately symbolizes this death, burial and resurrection. Baptism does not save you but is an act of obedience to God. (Romans 6:3-5; Colossians 2:12) About Lord's Supper: Jesus instituted the Lord's Supper at his last meal with his disciples as part of the Jewish Passover. Unleavened bread and the fruit of the vine were part of the meal. Jesus indicated that the bread was symbolic of his body and the fruit of the vine symbolic of his blood. The bread symbolizes the purity of Christ, for he was without sin and thus his body was an unblemished sacrifice for our sins. The juice from crushed grapes symbolizes the blood that Christ shed for us. In eating the bread and drinking from the cup, a person does not actually partake of Christ’s flesh and blood. Rather, it is an opportunity to obey a command of Christ and to recall his sacrifice for us, his presence with us and his certain return. (Matthew 26:26-30; Mark 14:22-26; Luke 22:14-20; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 11:24-28)

What makes Ignite different from any other church around?Ignite Church is not your normalchurch. Ignite seeks to build a church entirely based upon community outreach. There are many traditional churches that are doing a great job reaching people for Christ in our community. We seek to reach people who may never attend the traditional church. A church where people come with casual dress, enjoy a cup of coffee in our cafe before services, participate in energetic songs or praise to the King of Kings, and learn from conversational messages about a personal relationship with Christ that's real! At Ignite Church, we just believe God has called us to get out of the church building and touch people where they are. Don't come to just sit! Come to be challenged to GO OUT and DO what Jesus commanded us to do. Matthew 28:19 & 20So, Can I wear my jeans to Ignite?We want everyone to feel welcome whether you come in a suit or blue jeans. 1 Samuel 16:7 tells us, "The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."What should I expect if I visit Ignite?When you walk in the door you will realize that Ignite is different. You will be greeted by Ignite leaders and members who will be happy to show you around or answer your questions. While waiting for the service to begin you can enjoy water/coffee. As the modern Praise and Worship music starts... your Ignite Worship Experience will begin. At Ignite you can feel free to worship the Lord, whether it's jumping up and down, raising your hands, or even shouting... you have full freedom to express yourself at Ignite. The Bible says, "So I will bless Thee as long as I live, I will lift up my hands in Thy name." Psalm 63:4 "Lift up your hands in the sactuary, and bless the Lord." Psalm 134:2The true Word of God is then delivered in a modern yet casual way. You can expect "Audience Participation" during the Pastor's message. Contemporary methods of multimedia are also used to accentuate the message.
